Yu Yu Hakusho was a manga by Yoshihiro Togashi that was developed into a 112 episode anime and two movies. Yusuke Urameshi is a delinquint who tries to save a little boy who wanders into a busy street. He rescues the boy, but Yusuke gets hit by a car and dies in the first episode. No joke. In the afterlife Yusuke is informed that no one forsaw his one good deed and there is not a place prepared for him. After a huge ordeal Yusuke is brought back to life with paranormal powers. He becomes a Spirit Detective and with the help of his school rival Kuwabara, sultry fox demon Kurama, and bad tempered sword expert Hiei Yusuke sets off to protect the world from evil spirits.
