Naruto
"He’s always trying his best to get people to acknowledge him. For that dream, he’d risk his life anytime. He’s probably sick and tired of crying. So, he understands what it truly means to be strong."
Naruto began as a manga by Masashi Kishimoto and debuted in Japan's Shonen Jump Magazine in 1999. Viz Media has published 75 of the 283 chapters of manga in America. The anime series was aired by Cartoon Network on their Toonami programming block on September 10, 2005 and continues to show new episodes.
Naruto is a loud and hyperactive ninja in training who constantly searches for approval in his village. He is shunned by the people because twelve years prior a Nine Tailed Demon Fox terrorized the village. It slaughtered many people until a powerful ninja sacrificed his life to seal the demon into the newborn baby Naruto. Naruto was supposed to be regarded as a hero, but the villagers feared the demon that was housed inside him and he was treated as an outcast instead. Naurto grew up a lonely orphan so he sought attention the only way he knew how; through pranks and mishchief. He has to change his act soon, though, because his ninja academy graduation exam is on they way and Naruto wants to be a great ninja more than anything.
