Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus

Dirge of Cerberus is a sequal to the incredibly popular Final Fantasy VII. It was released on January 26, 2006 for Playstation 2 in Japan, and is set for Spring 2006 in America. Square has announced that this game is a never before seen genre called a Shooter RPG. It combines story, RPG, and first person shooting style action.
Vincent Valentine, a party member from Final Fantasy VII, is being targeted by the mysterious Deep Ground Soldiers. This group has some connection with Lucrecia, Vincent's tragic love from the past. The game will also explore the extent of Professor Hojo's experimentation on Vincent. Vincent's tantalizing past was mentioned only shortly in Final Fantasy VII. Dirge of Cerberus is highly anticipated because the events surrounding Vincent, Lucrecia, and Hojo are conspicuous and controversial.
