That's me!

This year I will be a senior at Glenbard South High School. This final year is going to be so much fun! But the year is going to be pretty intense. I'll be taking some AP classes and two science classes. But I'm so excited!

Favorites: Color- pink Food- cereal and salads or any type of dessert T.V. show- The O.C. Musical Artist- Train, Maroon 5, Britney Spears Song- "Get to Me" (Train), "You and Me" (Life House) Sport- Dance Restaurant- The Melting Pot-Foundu is awesome! I love chocolate!

Hobbies: I love to dance. In fact I just got back from dance camp. It was grueling and I have bruises all over my body. But it was worth it because I learned some awesome dances and now I have some great memories with my dancers. I'm the captain of my high school team and the past couple of years have been so much fun. We've gotten a couple of second and third place trophies at competitions, but hopefully this year we'll get some first places!

I also love to play soccer! I play for a club as well as my school team. Right now we're in the playoffs- our team dominates. It's all about the defense-we always get it up!

In my spare time I run. I can run for hours. I also love to cook and bake. I'm crafty too. I've made clothes, jewelery and purses.

I'm definetely obsessed with purses. I have about 40, and the collection keeps on growing. I've made a couple of my own. But the coolest thing I've done is gone to this purse studio and customized my own. You choose your style and fabric. Check out the webstie!(link at the bottom)

Career: I plan on majoring in biology. Science is my favorite subject and I have loved every sceince course I have ever taken. Of course it's important to do something you love! I want to become a research scientist. At CampInfinity we explored the brand new biology and chemistry building. It was so cool. We saw some amazing microscopes and research labs. Seeing all of this awesome stuff made me even more excited for college and pursuing my science career.

CampInfinity:

I chose to attend CampInfinity because I know that in order to be successful in a career in science I should have a background in computer science. My favorite speaker so far has been Feven. It was amazing to her all of the accomplishments she has. She is an international student from Ethiopia who got her masters in computer science and is now going for her masters in math. She will soon be going to California to make academic software. I also really like all of the camp counselors. They all bring something different to the group. I love how they all have a major but then they have so many minors and it proves that it's ok to be interested in so many different things. And I love how everyday we are shown how science and technology can be used in our everyday lives. And whether you like it or not- you will use technology in your career! One of the coolest things we did was have a video conference with the campers from COD. I loved this group activity because we could see ourselves on the T.V. screen as well as the COD campers on the screen. We could talk the the other campers using the speakers. We had fun because we weren't just talking and listening to each other's questions, but also watching each other's reactions.I found it so interesting that we thought the telephone was such an amazing invention, but now we can watch the person we are talking to. It was awesome to be able to interact with the students via video conference. Computer Science
